So what did you guys think? My wife and I hashed out our guess for the next episode cliffhanger and death - Sylar gets loose from the dad, kills the precog, and "sees" something that leads to the giant cliffhanger they advertised. Just a wild guess, but I can't see keeping the precog around any longer, and killing off DL would be too obvious.

It was a great show and I am glad we got a chance to get some background on our heroes. They did something similar to this in Firefly, about half-way through the season when they went back and introduced how each crew meber came to be on board. It was a little less action driven last night but it had its own important events.

We learned that in some manner, Hiro is not in as much control of his powers as he would like. Indeed, it seems that when it comes to teleporting, he goes to where he is needed despite what he wants. Such was the case when he went back and spent time with the waitress who thanked him for helping her not "give up" because she was dying of a blood clot that would kill her at any minute. He then got warped back to Japan and was not allowed to go back to see her, though he was probably allowed to warp to any other location other than her's. Interesting twist there, and there's more to it, I am sure.

Nikki and Jessica were sisters! If you noticed the tombstone, it says that Jessica died at age 11. She's been with her sister ever since. I suppose that her revengeful spirit is what fuels an "unnatural" strength and ability to scrap. Does Nikki know that it's her sister? Does Micah know its his aunt? Such drama!

No wonder our polititian does not like talking about flying. Its a curse to him! He abandoned his wife to crash because he got shot up in the air, and did not know how to get back down to save her before she got hurt so bad. Flying powers has been nothing but pain for him in remembering that he could have probably not crashed if he could have stayed at the wheel.

Sylar. We know who you are and where you come from, but not how you take the powers from the victims. Does he eat the brains? Does he bathe in them? What is his actual power? He has one there, but I cannot put a name to it. It has something to do with perception of being, and how things or beings operate.

I do think that you are right, that Eden will be taken from us. The Haitian has too much potential to be of future use. Know what I think? Maybe Sylar confronts the Radiation man to steal his powers, and the dude fights Sylar and ends up imploding or something, which is what would cause the disaster. Its going to be Claire that saves the day, but how? What will she have to do?

I am glad to hear that we'll get to see the heroes coming together...but I don't expect all of them to be there at once. Rather, two or three will be together in separate locations, doing their own thing.

Don't forget Peter can do anything they can do and maybe multiple things at once! It seems to me Peter's brother was not in control when he was flying. Maybe something took over. He did bash his head. Was it an accident, or did he do it to himself to avoid a lot of questions?

BTW Brian Davis is the guy on CSI who shows up at the scene to determine TOD etc.

Ah, it's all so interesting. Hiro calling japan to talk to... himself?!

Time travel really makes my head hurt, sometimes.

Well personally I didn't think the episode was all that great, but it was needed, so I'm not complaining.

Interesting that Nathan wanted to take his father to court over his criminal connections. That's why his car got ran down and he got the accident. Then after his father die he turn around and actually "ally" with Linderman. It also explain why he doesn't like his powers. Personally, I think he just fell down and knocked himself out. I really don't think he had the time to learn to control it at that point.

I wonder what will happen with Sylar, but I'm not sure if he'll escape or be released somehow. I'm also really curious about Nikki and Jessica. Will they always have two personalities? Will they merge? Will her husband die? I don't think the strength is really because she's vengeful. All the characters pretty much got their powers "6 months ago" after all. And Niki also started getting bad dreams and feelings 6 months ago, so I think that's when Jessica showed up, probably at about the same time as their father.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but in one of the conversations Chandra and Sylar had Chandra proposed the idea that if the 'soul' is actually said to exist, then it would scientifically exist within the brain.

Therefore, I believe that Sylar is eating the brains of his victims, and in effect eating their souls.... this is how he gains their power.

That's pretty much the impression I got as well - he's eating the brains. I kind of hope that's not the case, but we'll see.

I saw a bit of a preview last night. Hiro said, something like, how do you stop a guy from exploding?
