Completely correct, Vulcanrider!! I will never be able to watch a carchase without thinking about the enormous pile of cars crashed in this movie. They actually built a carlaunching machine to make those copcars fly. Well I say copcars but they were actually just cars from the junkyard with a bit of extra spray paint that couldn't drive at all. Otherwise that would have been a very expensive movie indeed.

I was reading some trivia about that movie. They set a record for the number of cars crashed. I'm not sure if it's ever been broken. Also, where they're driving down Wacker Avenue at 120 mph, they actually got the city of Chicago to close that street & they filmed 2 passes at 120.
