You'd think they'd at least diverge from the first movie a little. Guess not.

Look at the producer's portfolio... I think this movie is in trouble...

It will be campy, but I'm sure I'll end up watching it anyway. Hey, at least Hollywood is showing an interest in making fantasy movies. I'd much rather watch a mediocre sword & sorcery flick than one of the many romantic comedies that everyone seems to adore to no end. Hopefully the success of Lord of the Rings will bring other fantasy works to the big screen. D&D 2 may not be the best, but I welcome it nonetheless.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Not again. They dare blaspheme AD&D again with crass monkey scripted money making schemes. Argggh!

I internally vomitted fury at my mates when we saw it. I guess it was entertainingly bad, but still, I haven't forgiven and forgotten for it. It took te Lord of the Rings saga for some of the wounds to even start to heal.

This time it better actually contain a proper dungeon and not just a couple of trapped rooms connected together. Hopefully they'll do justice to the monsters this time, unlike that ridiculous uber-weakened beholder in the first film.

I'd prefer to watch the original cartoon D&D series over that bloated ham acted philistine offal.

D&D isn't that bad a liscence (or at least it was before the first D&D movie...) You would think that after the success of Lord of the Ring, and the popularity of comic book movies they would treat D&D a little more seriously...

They could have made lots of money with this if they had hired a good prodecer and put a good budget on it. They should have sold the right to a D&D movie to a big conpany instead of giving them to some unknown small budget one...

Agreed

Drizzt has become so popular by now that producers would be crazy NOT to make a movie about him. How many CRPG's has Drizzt cameoed in so far? 3? 4? I would love to see a movie featuring the drow. Hopefully if someone chooses to make this film they will do the story justice though.

Are they the ones I am thinking of:

Baldur's Gate I
Baldur's Gate II
Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance I
Baldur's Gate - Dark Alliance II

Is there any more games he has appeared in?

Also, if it was decided to be made as a live action film, who would play him!?

He's also in the game Demon Stone. Who could play him? I guess that... erm.. that guy... with that hair... you know? And the eyes.. Feet reaching the ground, and all..

I think this will be another one of those movies I'll forget I've even seen, untill someone brings back the painfull, suppressed memory back...
