I remembered some more funny movies:

Army of Darkness... (okey the whole evil dead Trilogy)
Ace Ventura: Pet Detective
Four rooms... (that is the last story, I don't understand why people hate this movie so much, it's not that bad except for the first segment and the last one is hilarious, but I'm in a small minority that thins so... I know )
Groundhog Day (Someone here already mentioned it and they are so right, one of the best comedy ever)
Fargo (Big Lebowsky too)

Yes... been awhile though... if you are referring to the "body in the treeshredder" - scene then I did think it was funny... in a terrible kind of way... Black comedy and all that...

Anyone remember "Serial Mom" with Kathleen Turner...

I think Fargo is hilarious personally, although not in quite the same league as The Big Lebowski.

Spoilers...

The thing about the body in the tree shredder is that its wearing a white sock... which just tickled me. The whole films funy because its a combination of progressively more complicated and farcical actions (some of which are decidedly sinister), and then the most mind-numbingly mundane. Like the body in the tree shredder with the white sock, the policemen making awful jokes about license plates after looking at three dead bodies, the prostitutes discussing their latest clients and interspersing the account with references to their high school football team, the man talking to the police about a possible murder suspect then discussing the weather in almost the same breath...

Its the mixture of the mundane and the sinister that makes Fargo funny. Although it really is only funny if you like that kind of thing. Its appeal is far from universal.

It's a lot less funny if you realize Fargo was based on a true story, though.*

Oh well, it's been a while since I've seen it, can't really recall how much I really laughed during it - all I'm able to recall right now was the somewhat anti-climatic ending, with 90% of the cast ending up dead and all.

<font size=0>* Or at least that's what the disclaimer at the beginning of the movie said - though journalists found out later on that it wasn't really based on a real story after all; but I only heard about that afterwards. But such a disclaimer *does* make you experience the events in the movie differently, and that's why the negative elements somehow stuck in my brain more prominently, several years after having seen it.</size>

Funniest - Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Rat Race (seriously under marketed) and many other enjoyable films (including the legendary Forrest Gump)

Least Funny - hmm, Dead Man On Campus possably. I know I will think of a movie that is worse later on but thats what is in my head now.
