what are your favourite Martial arts movies, if you don't like these types of films then don't post.
Mine have to be: The Legend 1 + 2 (Jet Li) Once Upon in China 1,2 and 3 (Jet Li) Fist of Legend (Jet Li) Mr Nice Guy (Jackie Chan) Big Boss (Bruce Lee) The Matrix + Reloaded And the T.V series "Monkey" a total cult classic, its cheesy but i love it.

If you count Matrix and Matrix: Reloaded as Martial Arts movies then they would be my faves. I don't generally like all that kungfooy stuff. Shanghi Noon wasn't bad, neither was Rush Hour 1&2.

Absolute favorites: Enter the Dragon, Fist of Legend, Big Boss/Fists of Fury. I really want to see the Once Upon a Time in China series, but I am having trouble finding them for rent around here (having trouble finding A Chinese Ghost Story, too). Also, early Jackie Chan Secret Art of Snake and Crane. The Matrix series would technically be considered martial arts movies (especially the first one), so the first one definitely makes the list. Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon was pretty good, too. Most overlooked is Circle of Iron, but that is because it tends to be slow as molasses (but very good at showing the philosophical side of the martial arts). Fights in Game of Death (Bruce v.s. Kareem Abdul Jabbar) and Chinese Connection/Fists of Fury (Bruce v.s. Chuck Norris) were also very good.
I tend not to like the super-flashy ultrawild magical ones (A Man Named Hero, that one with the brothers Wind and Cloud (name escapes me at the moment), etc.). The same actor was in both of those, if I remember right.

Master Killer
Ninja Vs Shaolin Lone Wolf and Cub (There are a bunch of them but one had a band of female Ninjas and male ninjas competing with each other to kill the Lone Wolf, and the emperor sending all of his sons out to get slaughtered). Stormriders (reminds me of a live action Dragonball Z) Ninja Scrolls the movie (favorite MA Anime) I actually liked Black Mask also (the first one). |

That Chuck Norris film...what's it called again?
I can't remember, my second choice would be that Steven Segal film...whats that called again? I'll stick to my third choice, Jean Claude Van Dame, the movie was called "The warrior"... or something like that. |
