Since it's dead, and everyone is posting these topics in Gencon, I might as well as merge this forum with GenCon. 2-4 posts a day isn't worth a forum.

Anyone agree that it'll be better to merge these topics to GenCon?

Hmmm, I'm undecided. Although I dont post much here I do read alot and one-stop shopping for topic-oriented content does have value, even if the post count is low and slow. By that token, it is pretty easy to pick a book, movie, or song thread out in GD. I dunno...I guess being undecided isnt very helpful but those are my thoughts on the topic. I'll just defer to your judgement, Ziroc. I guess I can go either way.

I think you be better off merging this with gen con like you suggested, the threads here would get more traffic. People don't tend to come here too much compared to gen con.

My 2 cents.

I really don't think there is anything wrong with the way it is, even if it is not being used overly its still being used. Besides this way if I want to know about a certain movie etc I know where to look instead of searching through all the general con.

I really like this place. Even though it isn't all that active.

I agree with Shadowhound and second Djinn's question. I check in here almost as often as I do on GenD, and post whenever there's a thread that interests me.
There are many forums that get far less traffic than this one, say the Dungeon Craft, IWD or Undermountain forums. Maybe there should be found a way of getting it through to people that they should post their film/book stuff here and not on GenD, and for those who do know they're posting in the wrong forum but do it anyway because they want more replies, just move their threads here straightaway.
Itgoes without saying that it is your forum and your call, Ziroc, but as some of the others said, this place isn't *that* quiet, getting more traffic than some of the other forums. Maybe you could include "music" to the forum description as well? Music/Books/Movie forum?

*Points to the Music lyrics thread*
Some people have already started treating it like a music topic as we,,

I think Sigmar made a good point. Often enough people start movie or book related topics in Gen Con, simply because they don't even know that there is a special forum for it, or they don't care.

So if you do decide to close it, and move the discussion about books and movies to Gen Con, it could see more replies to movie/book related topics.

I agree with Mel about including music - great idea! I also agree with those who've said they think it should stay - I'm not really up on board mechanics so I don't know how much 'space' it's sucking up, but it's not like it doesn't get *any* traffic at all. I look at it every time I'm here and there's usually 4 or 5 threads that have new replies on them, and new threads being made. It's not like there's been suddenly a big slump in postings here either, to warrant closing it *now* - it's been pretty much stable for the past few months anyway. Maybe there could be a sticky thread or somesuch in GD to direct people to make their threads here instead of in GD - it's ironic really; if all the people that make book/film/tv threads in GD and say 'I put it here to get more replies...' put them here and checked in every day there'd be heaps of threads in here! Maybe if you're looking to reduce the number of boards you could incorporate the miscellaneous games in with this one - call it a leisure activity forum or something?
