Anyone who has not yet read Pratchett's 'Thief of Time' should go and get it now.......

I've just finished it and it is good. I particularly liked the use of chocolate.....

Oh, I love that book! Susan is a good character, and Lobsang and Lu-Tze (always remember Rule No. 1!) are great. Three cheers for Terry Pratchett!!

Agreed, with all you said!!! Yes, marvelous use of chocolate. And it's true -- that kind of thing would truly destroy those non-people (I forget the term).

That's one marvelous thing about Terry Pratchett -- he covers all the different walks of life (gods, assassins, monks of time, the press, female dwarves in high heels, the drinking songs of witches, and the adventures of Death). If you're not fond of one book (I didn't much care for The Truth, I think it was called) you're bound to find another that appeals to you.

My favorite is Small Gods but all of them are great! I havent actually seen the last one because in Poland these books are later. But as soon I will see it I will buy. I have to buy international English editions when I travel across Europe because in Poland *sight* English editions are available later (last available one is The fifth Elephant) and Polish publisher is just in the middle of series .
My favorite character is death of rats! (You dont believe in it?, doesnt matter it believes in YOU.)

Not that keen on The Death of Rats lol. I do kinda like the female werewolf (Angua?) and Susan (Death's daughter?)

Just out of interest, Has anyone else read the "HAWK & FISHER" books by Simon R Green?

Yes, I enjoyed them very much. Have you read his two "Blue Moon" novels? I like the concept of fantasy detective stories, and Hawk and Fisher's ...umm... "irreverant" attitudes are funny.

Another series you might enjoy is Glen Cook's "Garret, P.I." novels.

My favorite was guards guards or possibly the one with the 3 witchs in the opera house.
