Yup. 2nd best fantasy series ever...maybe third. The only thing that I don't like about Jordan's writing is that he's got so much stuff going on at one time. I've never seen so many friggin' characters in one series...

I started it go through book 5 or 6 (I think, I can't really remember) then I got bored with it. Didn't seem to be going anywhere. I may try to pick it back up.

You got to book 5 before you got bored with it? How many books are in the series?

Hi Memnoch...

I think that there are currently 6 or 7 in the series and there's no end in sight. Mr. Jordan has a story going on here with umteenmillion different minor plotlines going. It'll take him 30 books to finish up all the storylines.

My problem with the series is there are many books and they come out about a year or two apart. By the time the next one comes out I've forgotten what I have already read. The books themselves are well written. I really just lost track of where I was at in them. I really need to get to the library and start back on them.

The 9th book came out around November it's called A Winters Heart. Books 7 & 8 showed a serious drop in quality though , 9 is an improvement although still not as good as the earlier books.

I LOVE the WOT series ! I am actually deep in the last book "Winter's Heart".

It is dense and very very very complex - it is true that it gets more and more difficult to remember characters names, so many of them they are. Jordan seems to add more plots in every book that he solves anyway - I hope that he knows what he is doing, and that the last book won't be a big disappointment ! He has rather be up to the task he set himself, or else ...

The world is my oyster !
