Man, I've been reading Anne Rice Vampire books. You HAVE to read The Queen of the Damned. If you think Lestat's book was good, try this one. I'm about 40% of the way through. I have had no less than 8 people come up to me and talk about the book as being one of their favorite Rice books. Very well done. I won't tell any of the details (far be it for me to spoil anyone) but it is a must read.

I loved that series!! It was really cool how Anne Rice told about the history and current histories of vampires. I'm going to stop before I give anything away accidentally. Lestat Rocks!

To tell you the truth, I've only read:

Interview with the Vampire
The Vampire Lestat
Memnoch The Devil
Pandora - this is one of her VERY best!!!!

I'm going through The Vampire Armand now.

I DEFINITELY want to read Queen of the Damned. Damn!

i've read most of her books and queen of the damned and memnoch are her best of all times. vittorio the vampire was kind of cool too though. different story all together.
also her The Mummy, or Ramsese the Damned was really good too.

I also thought Queen of the Damned was one of the best of that particular series.

I love Anne Rice. I am currently re-reading The Witching Hour (for about the 10th time) I would recommend the Mayfair trilogy to anyone who liked the Vampire books. They must be read in order to make sense though!

I also liked The Mummy - fresh look at that particular denizen of the undead world. Again I'd recommend it, and it's an easy read - as it's just one book rather than a series, so is good if you don't have time to give up a year of your life just to read!!
