Epona, wasn't she the Celtic godess of horses? AH, it's good to see a fellow Londoner (even if I moved out of it hen I was six).

I am reading Annie Rice's Vampire books. I am on the Vampire Lestat. Started them 'cause gf wanted me to so we could have a common base of reading, and I wanted to read more about Memnoch's pseudo, but I hate reading books out of order, and his is fifth.

BK, I forgive you on this occasion - The Vampire Lestat is a classic. By all means read them in order, that's the way to do it. Don't forget to read Pandora, it's such a classic.

Anne Rice is obviously a real hit around here!!

The Mayfair Trilogy is my favourite of all her series, really steeped in a kind of semi-pseudo Celtic mythological past which I love, (and yes Balgin, you are spot on about my nick), mixed in with New Orleans of the last couple of centuries! A heady mix to be sure, and a compelling read.

Memnoch, you must start at the beginning for that trilogy, reading them out of order will make little sense and be quite confusing, I'm sure. The Witching Hour is a great thick tome, but it is not easy to put down.

Anne Rice is also good at having links between the different series of books, which is another thing I love an author to do. There is a character who is a major part of the Taltos series who also appears in the Lestat series, especially in 'Body Thief', so it gives a 'real world' feeling to all her works.

I have not yet read Pandora, but intend to do so!

David and Leigh Eddings wrote 2 epic fantasy series that explore and expand the world of magic and the reasons or causes of magic. as well as being great stories. one is called the Belgariad. it's like six books. the other is the Elinium. at least i think that is what they are called.

anne rice best work by far is Sleeping Beauty series.

I just finished Salvatore's "The Silent Blade" too. Looks like the start of another great series. I've just started "Krondor: Assasins" by Feist - will tell you more about it when I finish.

I just finished Doom Brigade by Margaret Weis and my dragonlance reading list finally reached number 40 ). I really enjoyed this book, it was a whole new approach to the way of life of the draconians and some really funny scens too, i caught myself 4-5 times crying from laughter, once again a beautiful work by Margaret Weis. Anyone else here reading lots of dlance novels? The new trilogy (War Of Souls) is really awesome and i can't wait till the 2nd book comes out!
Oh about 3 days ago i finished Icewind Dale Trilogy (i know i'm late ), it was really good especially the first book, although in some parts of the third book the was alot of exaggeration and thats what makes dlance so different. Although dlance is also fantasy, from my point of view the characters look more real and realistic than any other character on other worlds. Anyone agree or disagree with that? I hope for some answers

Zoric hey, hmmm maybe I should have called myself Momnech.

I was going to start reading the latest R.E.Fiest book but got distracted. "Shards of a broken crown" I think it is.
