Ziroc is pushing to get the new forums up and running and also switching to a better computer, so the game is down until he can get everything back up. He's aimed to have the whole thing done before July 4th, but that is not to say that he won't have the game back sooner.

Actually, I had a Partition die. The partition that ALL My 3D work was on, ALL the NWN player accounts were on (2000 of them) the MOD itself, and more. I did have backups, but they were old--Jan 2007.. BUT.... Get this, I found a god-like program that actually RESTORED a missing partition!!!

I recovered EVERYTHING. Data integrity is fine too!!!!!!!!!!!

I nearly died. I actually was so shocked when it went missing, I had to lay down, cuz I was so pissed/sick.

I never knew you could recover a partition!!!!

Thank god.

The server should be back online tonight. I'm reinstalling Windows XP Pro, and won't take too long.

Nothing lost... crazy...

Whew...That's crazy indeed. Almost makes me want to get a raid array, even though I don't know how to use it, just for the minor stuff I'm working on.

wow disaster averted!...

One thing you could look at is some of the online backup facilities that there are on the 'net. You can get Gigs of space relatively cheaply (in some cases free, although there's probably a catch there somewhere) and some of 'em supply software for automated backups..

Not sure what volume of data the 'mod and the characters are but maybe one option...

I'm looking at it 'cause I'm always too forgetful to remember to backup manually!
