Okay so I started EfU and it says loading Yawning portal... But right after it loads it loads up and plops me in the High Moors. I have never even heard or seen the high moors. What do I see when I arrive - two owlbears who for my character it lists Impossible! Well I wipe them out (collect some nice XP!) and wander around killing Driders, driders and more driders. So my question is, how did I get there and did this happen to anyone else?

Sounds very plausible T-D-C.
I was thinking he must have logged in on the wrong server, but Mercc has been in the undermountain before so he should just be using an old ip and automatically log in the right place. In other words, your explanation sounds more likely.

Yes I used an IP I have been using. I figured it was testingor something along those lines. In my wonderings, I thought I saw a shadowed figure run by but whan I followed I was in the midst of many Driders, Male and Female, but took care of them pretty much. It was funny because as I walked I suddenly found myself in the Yawning Portal but am sure I didn't hit a 'doorway' or anything but was on the edge of the map. Was just wondering. I do wamt to go back someday though.

I didn't think the High Moors were open yet. Isn't that area blocked by boulders in that very nice area to the south of the forest were you wind your way along a cliff or mountain.

It's just been opened Pritchke, but it's still under testing. (atleast the sign says so)

That shadowy figure you saw was the one and only Halaster.

He can teleport you anywhere and if your lucky you can have a conversation with him and his talking chest.

I thought it was a thief of some kind. \

Pritchke - I didn't wander on in there, I was started there. Instead of being in the doorway of the Yawning Portal, I was in the High Moors. I had never been there - that is what was so strange.

That would be a weird feeling not knowing where you were and how you got there. Your character must have had one to many drinks in the tavern. .

Anyway I took a trip up there last night. Very nice scenery, and the only thing I saw besides trees was a dragon, some bears, and elk. I was hoping to see the owlbears . Headed back to Waterdeep and the server crashed or went offline.
