Right...I've searched the forum for this, and I haven't found an answer, so...
When I try and run the Tutu.exe in my BG2 directory, it says I haven't performed a full installation of BG1, when in reality I have. I have the 6 disc + Tales of the Sword Coast version, and I installed it fully and patched it. I changed the "configuration" file in the Tutu folder accordingly too. Yet it still says I don't have a full version installed. During the installation the only options I had were "Custom", "Minimum" or "Recommended", so I'm assuming "Recommended" is the equivalent of "Full" in BG1. Also, Tales of the Sword Coast only had "Custom" or "Minimum" so I chose "Custom" and ticked all the add-ons. Still no luck. I really appreciate any help, and I humbly apologise if the answer is right under my nose... |

To do a full install of BG1, you need to click custom and click all the options in both the original and TotSC. Recommended install leaves many of the area files on the CDs, where the tutu installer cant get at them.

Thank you, that did solve that problem, but caused a whole host of others.
I'm guessing it converted correctly to an extent. However, all the start movies were incredibly laggy. Once it got to character creation, it was fine. But after I'd made a character and clicked "Done" the game crashed back to the desktop. Heavily concerned, I tried converting it back by running the restore.exe file, but all this has served to do is completely ruin my game, as I can't access it at all anymore. Everytime I click the centre icon or "Play" on the Autorun menu nothing happens. I'm going to reinstall it, of course, but this has caused me far more grief than it's worth... |

That sort of error tends to be due to an install problem on the user's machine, but in some cases there are fixes. You might want to try Tutu's forum at http://forums.pocketplane.net for more help. [img]smile.gif[/img]
