Okay here's whats going on. I have a level 20 Wizard/ level 1 arcane archer and I have a few questions about epic characters. I have just leveled up and need to know what to level up in. My character sheet says that I am an epic character but not epic in anything in particular. However, if I level up to a level 21 wizard I will become an epic wizard. Now here is my question: Will I be able to acquire epic spells (I have a 34 spellcraft)if I continue adding levels toward arcane archer, even if i am not an epic wizard but am still an epic character or do I need to become an epic wizard before I can attain epic spells. Also, once I attain epic wizard status, if i stop progressing as a wizard will I still be able to attain epic spells? Now my 3rd question is how in the world do I get epic spells anyway? I know what they are from the manual and where to find them on the radial menu, but I have no idea when I can get them. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Epic "spells" are actually obtained by adding Epic Wizard FEATS. They do not appear in your spell book and are activated off the quick slot menu by dragging and dropping them. These Epic "Spells" do require high spellcraft but I believe it is your BASE spellcraft skill that counts and not your spellcraft after items or stats are figured in. I could be wrong about this, but I believe that you can still obtain these as long as your base spellcraft skill meets the minimum requirements AND you have achieved EPIC level as a wizard (lvl 21), even if you level in another class. Since spellcraft is a cross class skill for an arcane archer, you should be able to continue to increase your base spellcraft to meet the requirements for some, if not all, of the Epic spells.
The best way to test this out would be to use a "leveler mod" on your character and see what happens. Hope this helps.

Well that is definately misleading that they would call them spells but actually they are feats. I think I may run my character through the ol' levler because I only have a 21 base spellcraft and I need 34 (I've been using an item to up my spellcraft).
