Yeah, I'm planning on getting RVS for Christmas. I've been modding R6 games for about 3 years, so I'm really good at it. I'm going to release my website pretty soon, along with a uniform mod (and the credit screenshot above will be in the mod). I like http://www.planetrainbowsix.com and hope to become hosted by them someday.

I've already been asked by a guy named Raven2367 to become a skinner for his team (he was a beta tester for my mod and really liked my skins ). His mods are going to be for RVS, but he makes pretty good weapons, so I'll soon be making good skins for him.

Oh, these forums are the best, LOL: http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/index.php

This is where a lot of RS community players and modders hang out (I'm usually in cocobolo's forums (good modder) and my name is: Rigid Ice

So, this is what I'm into, and I'm looking foward to getting RVS, and possibly Pandora Trigger (or something like that- I get confused because some mission in Rogue Spear in called Pandora Trigger, but I don't think the new game is like that- I know it has the word "Pandora" though).

Well, off to modding...

Yes, I have to agree that the SoU expansion is quite a bit better (but not as long) as the Original Campaign. As to player created mods- the Shadowlords campaign (5 mods) and its sequel the Dreamcatcher (4 mods) are great- better even than the original campaign in many ways. I am in Dreamcatcher 2 now and it is excellent!

and

www.ravenshieldmod.com (<-- Autoload who ran rsmod.com as well, you should get your uniform mods there as well unless they already are).

Good RavenShield sites..

Yeah, I already knew about the platoon, but I didn't know about the guy from rsmods.com- it's nice to know he's got another site. Last time I seen his old one, he had adds all over (I guess he was in need of money to host his site). Well, thanks for the links.

Now, people have only been able to make maps so far correct? I hear this is because Red Storm (or UBI, or whatever company it may be now) has not released something that will allow modders to mod.

Yeah you can pretty much only make maps in RavenShield so far, although i have seen a few uniform mods, an Italian Swat one and a Chinese Special Forces one. But unlike Rogue Spear the maps can be made from scratch, models and all, no modding the existing maps only.

The SDK is scheduled for release, i think when the expansion Athena Sword comes out. With the SDK the game will be fully moddable. Weapons, sounds, skins, tangoes, game speed, the whole nine yards.. there are a couple total conversions planned for it too. I've seen sites for a WWII one and one other one as well.

Sights are hot..

cool, I better get crackin' for some ideas for a mod. Hopefully Raven will have some ideas for me. I specialize in uniforms- not weapons or maps (unless they can be supported with 3D Studio Max 5.0). I can make some cool credit screens (as above) or main menu screens/sub screens, but I don't really work on weapons, maps, or models (unless supported by 3D Studio Max 5.0)- in RS, only 3D Studio Max 3.0, 3.1, and 4.0 could be used, and sadly, one cannot "down-grade" 5.0 to 3.0
