Plz help! - Stuck trying to get to Sun Dial

I am stuck trying to get into the Sun Dial room in the Creator Races Ruins. I have spoken with the mage and gotten the quest/items to do time travel. When I try to walk through the doorway towards the sun dial room I am hit by the lightening and I am moved back.

Any spoiler help?

There are two rooms with sun dials where you can use the time crystals.
One in the Northwest corner of the map and the other in the Northeast corner.
Try the Northeast one first.

When you come from the garden look at the wall directly before you and you will see two doors. Take the one to the left. You should be able to pass through. I sometimes had to click several times to get through. You should click beyond the door not on it.

I tried all three archways, many different ways and times. I've tried moving beyond, multiple clicks, opening chests beyond archway, bashing, going without weapon equipted, naked, with boots of speed and without, with amulet of speaking and without. I'm stuck. No more ideas...

Could it be a level restriction?
