cloudkill works against him???

I just blasted him with MM, although he wipes out your party (unless your soloing) very quickly unless you get the hell outa the way. There are actually a few threads on this, take a look at the search funtion.

I particularly like the one where Six finds out that shandalar is killable, utter class!!

I have tried to kill him many times without succes. On the other side: In DSotSC with harder MOD, he has triple HP. I gave up on him

Tell us more Sonic. I am interested to know how you got 5 Cloudkill spells, and were there any civilian casualties.

Perhaps ToTSC gives wands of cloudkill? Or maybe he's got an XP cap remover, so he's advanced far enough to be able to cast enough level 5 spells (although that does sound pretty far since that's a level 15 mage, which is 1,875,000 XP, quite a lot for BG1 unless you've gone through multiple times).

Okay, so there was a little tidbit about the game that I never found out for myself, so sue me. Hey, at least you gotta give me credit for killing the demonknight.

As for casting 5 Cloudkills on Shandalar, there's no need to exceed the EXP cap by any insane amount, in fact you don't even need to exceed it at all. At 161,000, standard Mages will have 1 Level 5 spellslot. Illusionists will have 2, and Edwin will have 3. So, a party that includes Edwin and Xzar, both at the EXP cap for ToSC, could legally cast 5 Cloudkills per day, and happily there are just enough CK scrolls in the game to allow 2 Wizards casting it. (Has to be Edwin & Xzar because Xan can't cast Evocation, Dynaheir won't work with Edwin, Quayle is Multiclassed, and I doubt anyone would Dual Imoen early enough to let her reach Level 9 as a Mage.)
Yeh that was an amazing feat. I also remember that, and everyone thought you just meant you killed him when you were supposed to, and they were like, "big cheese"

Another class moment
