Which do you think is better I wonder is it sorceror or wizard. Recently I beaten the game with a sorceror and BG2. I realized one thing. I believe I should have played wizards. Sure Sorcerors know many more spells and their Charisma is high and you get more info and gold and blah blah. Sorcerors are not so so flexible at doing diffrent spells. Wizards have a huge advantage if they know what they are up against. I sometimes get tired with the same Sorceor spells time to time and I always look foward to see diffrent spell animaitons. After I beat the game with my Level 9 rouge I will play as a wizard! LONG LIVE ARCANE!!!!!!!!

I think perhaps Wizards have the upper hand in the long-term scheme of things because they have a larger variety of spells which makes them a bit more versitile so they can handle more types of situations. But in straight-forward modules (like NWN) the Sorcerer is VERY powerful. I would personally feel more comfortable taking a Wizard into a new module where I didn't know what to expect, and if I played PnP D&D I'd probably rather be a Wizard than a Sorcerer.

This topic was discussed in depth a few weeks back. Try looking a few pages back in the listing.

The High one Azuth, favors the caution of a wiard. To many magical accidents have occured because a sorcerer did not know what he was doing. These acidents are exactly the kind of thing that got magic users restricted in Amn.

I think if you're multi-classing a wizard, for 5 or 6 levels, sorceror would be the better choice. You probably only want 4 or 5 spells, so you'll be able to cast any of them when you need it. If you're playing a single class mage, wizard would be the stronger class. High intelligence gives more skill points, they get the bonus feats, and they get the much larger spell list.
