Is it just me?

I just bought NWN yesterday (it takes me a little bit longer to get US games here in Germany

)

Considering I have all of the Interplay/BlackIsle/Bioware games it has come to my attention that all the character portraits used has become uglier and uglier game to game :-/

The last game with goodlooking portraits was IWD. In Baldur's Gate 2, I used shadowkeeper to change my portraits to ones found here and at other fine sites across the web.

What I was wondering is, is if someone has developed such a tool for NWN? I like being able to choose the way my character looks and was hoping that someone had made it possible in this awesome game as well.

I agree, the portraits are pretty bad. There's no real good portrait for each class and race, and there needs to be.

Even worse are the voices. Half of them seem to be intended solely for comic relief, and the others are just brash and burly. There's no real choice for a reserved, serious adventurer. The female voices are just as bad, with only two that I even consider useable, one of which is mislabeled seductress.

LOL I'm using the "seductress" voice for my female rouge right now.

All the other voices are [img]graemlins/1puke.gif[/img]

And DraconisRex you say you installed the portraits from BG II into NWNs? Please tell me how. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I downloaded the file and unziped the contents IAW the enclosed instrutions:

INSTALLATION
================================================== ==================

1) Extract all tga files into your neverwinter nights "portrait" folder
..\NeverwinterNights\NWN\Portraits

2) Enjoy [img]smile.gif[/img]

It worked like a charm.
