Part 1: Name that NPC!

1. What NPC is parked right in front of the entrance to the city of Baldur’s Gate? (1 point)
Answer: Quayle

2. Who is the second in command of the Flaming Fist? (1 point)
Answer: Scar is the second in command. First in command is Duke Eltan.

3. Name all four mages on the top floor of the Sorcerous Sundries (1 point each, and I’ll be very lenient on spelling)
Answer: Niemain, Oulam, Wheberott, and William Garst. Only one who got this was Pirengle, I think.

4. Who owns the Elfsong Tavern? (2 points)
Answer: Alyth. She can be found on the upper floor in the tavern.

5. Name the girl who is named after three different trees (1 point for first name, 1 point for middle name, 1 point for last name)
Answer: Maple Willow Aspen, and she's very touchy about her name .

6. NPC can give you a brief history on Balduran? (1 point)
Answer: Nikolai.

7.What women claims that Carbos and Shank (the assassins back in Candle Keep) are her relatives? (1 point for first name, 1 point for last name)
Answer: Sanadal Gwist

8. Who’s the sirine in the docks district that was captured by fishermen and killed a whole family? (2 points)
Answer: Larriaz. IIRC, she's in the docks district.

9. The Harper that tells you that Jaheira and Khalid are Harpers (3 points)
Answer: Entillis Fulsom. He's in the Docks District, close by to the Iron Throne building.

10. Name all four Grand Dukes (1 point each)
Answer: Entar Silvershield, Liia Jannath, Belt, and Eltan. They can even be found in the manual, and if you noticed, Duke Eltan was one of the rankings you could get.

-My daughter has been cursed, I need Yago’s book! Brielbara. She tells you to meet her in the Splurging Sturgeon.
--You dare to look at my statues?! Felonius. Full name is Felonius Gist, and his statues are of great significance for some great items.
-I need the artifact, spell book, and statue within 10 days! Alatos. He's found in the Shadow Thieve's Guildhall.
-Take me to the Harbormaster! Eltan. This is upon coming to Baldur's Gate after completing the CandleKeep Catacombs.

Part 3: True or False?

Answer: False. He claims to be a dockhand for the Dukes at first, but then he tells you the truth.

13. Ramazith conjured the green slimes in Ye old Inn (1 point)
Answer: True. Ask anyone in the inn and they'll tell you that Ramazith was talking to the bartender, and then he conjured up the slimes.

14. When Noralee gives you 2 potions of infrasion for returning her gauntlets, they don’t automatically stack together. (2 points)
Answer: True. They just...don't stack.

15. The Merry Fools are in no way involved with the Basilisk being loose in the Docks. (2 points)
Answer: False. They were the ones that captured it and were having it transported to a carnival, although it woke up from its enchantment sooner than they expected.

16. Gorpel Hind and company will aid you in your fight against Gretek and company. (2 points)
Answer: True. Just talk to Gorpel Hind before the fight.

Answer: B. Shvertszche

18. How much gold does the Son of Murder offer for your head to the Ogre Mages?

Answer: Mead (for 4 gold). I got 2 or 3 Evermeads...so close .

27. State the purpose of Mr. Shade in the Splurging Sturgeon (3 points)
Answer: He takes the Golden Pantaloons from you if you have it. He also goes on in a conversation that just goes around in circles and it a waste of time, but that is not what he was put in the game for.

28. In regard to question number 3, what major group listed in the manual (Iron Throne, Red Wizards, Zhentarim, Mages of Halruaa, Harpers, or Shadow Thieves) were they associated with? How can you find out? (2 points for the group, 2 points for how to find out).
Answer: Zhentarim. Take Xzar and Montaron with you and they will talk to you about it.

29. In regards to question number 10, state the class of each grand duke. Chose from the 4 main classes (fighter, rogue, wizard, priest). (2 points each).
Answer: Entar Silvershield- Fighter. Liia Jannath- Wizard. Belt- Fighter. Eltan- Fighter. Believe it or not, the manual states this. Just in case, I checked with another source, and it was still right.

30. Bribing the noblewomen in the Three Kegs for more gold after killing Cyrdemac is possible. However, after a certain number a days, she will hire an assassin to attack you. After how many days does this assassin appear, and how much gold can you mooch off of her by the time he is hired? (1 points for number of days, 1 points for amount of gold acquired, 1 point for the assassin’s first name, and 1 point for the assassin’s last name). NO PARTIAL CREDIT. If you get 1 part wrong, you get it all wrong.
Answer: After ten days of bribing her, she will hire Tor Lobo. You can gain 2,500 gold. 500 was gained as the initial payment, and then 500 more gold every 2 days for 8 total days is another 2000 gold, which totals to 2,500 gold. This was a nasty question [img]tongue.gif[/img] .

31. An assassin named Lothander is sent out to kill you. He tries to work with you to cure you of your poison, although it is difficult for him to do so. What does he want you to do before he can give you his half of the potion? (2 points)
Answer: You must cure him of his geas.

32. Way back when while traveling through out the Cloakwood, you stumbled upon a man named Aldeth who was out hunting with his friends. You could either aid him or not aid him. In the city of Baldur’s Gate, I met Aldeth’s brother. Give me Aldeth’s brother’s name, and then tell me what I did to do to get him to attack me with out having me attack or provoke him first. (2 points for each part)
Answer: His name is Dabron Sashenstar. He attacked me because I killed his brother, Aldeth Sashenstar, back at the Cloakwood Lodge while fighting along side Seniyad and his druids.

Answer: Elminster

Weird! I know you never meet up with Silvershield in-game, so where in the manual does it describe him? (Curious, haven't had the manual in years.) Also of note is the way his house is falling all to hell: His son (or nephew, or something) was killed as a part of the caravan than Kagain wants to find, you can semi-abduct his daughter Skie, and one of the Missing Persons that Scar wants you to get to the bottom of was either a Silvershield or a Sashenstar: She was the one that owned the Ruby Ring that Scar wants.

Just a little powergaming nitpick: Dabron shows up as a result of your having killed Aldeth anywhere--even in the Merchant League, after having completed his quest.
