Weapons?

Is there an equal amount of different enchanted weapons, for example, in BG2 there was, as far as i could see, a huge lack of enchanted bastard swords. That made specalizing in bastard swords very pointless when all the best weapons were katanas and long swords. Is it the same in NWN or can you specalize in any weapon and find just as many enchanted ones of them as the others? What i mean by enchanted is that it might have the ability to stun an opponent or 15% chance of casting confusion on your opponent. Not just the usual +2.

They seem to spread it around. I've found a lot of different weapon types. I would really like to upgrade my great sword though, its only +1 with +2 fire damage. I think I messed up by not going back to the dwarf before I went to chapter 2..oopssss

soem of the boss chests give loot based on the weapon you are focused in. Such as most elven rangers get +1 longswords and +1 rapiers from the chests and can upgrade them at the smithy. I started a pally focused in greatsword and she got a +1 from a chest

This is another of the customizable parts of NWN, you can choose how the creatures or chests (or anything you want to give out treasure) generate their random treasure type...it can be completely random, or in this case determined by the party that finds them. It is all easy to assign through the toolset. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Personally, in my adventures have found more enchanted double weapons then enchanted shortswords. I've just found my second magical shortsword (+2) and I'm almost eleventh level. It was from a boss chest so I imagine it was quasi-set. On the flip side I've found a bunch of magical double swords and a couple double axes that were well enchanted. Only one or two that had anything more than a simple plus enchantment.

I run a half orc barbarian, and I have found a slight leaning towards double weapons. At level 5, near 6, I have found (all at +1) a Kama, rapier, dire mace, double sword, double axe (after I 'bought' one at the docks).

All weapons are far from common.

I'm playing a human ranger. I selected recommended for the first few levels, and the game made me a great sword wielder. I find +1 great swords frequently, but have found nothing better. I upgraded it at the smithy in Neverwinter, but at level 11, that +1 sword with 2 fire damage is getting a little weak. I've found a few +2 weapons, but no great swords. I haven't seen few unique weapons, although there are plenty of unique other items.

I know what you mean man, I have the same sword at F10/Rogue2 I want a bit better

boys boys they are out there. I have a +3 longsword. I have sold flaming axes. I am only lvl 11 you just do not know the right stores to shop in [img]smile.gif[/img]
