I just started it yesterday and I like it so far. I like it much more already than I did HoW. I didn't like the fact that there was virtually no story line in HoW.

Granted NWN was created by the same designers (BioWare/Interplay) that created BG 1, BG 2, and IW; but NWN is quite different in scope and gameplay from the other mentioned games...

1. Interface is much more refined

2. Different edition of the D&D rules (3rd edition as compared to 2nd edition)

3. Single player is so much more complex now than was in other games, due to the fact that in NWN the single player game is exactly that, a single player to control. You have limited control over the henchman (one at a time) that you may hire...

As I have stated before in other threads, take each game as it comes... It is not fair to compare NWN with BG or IWD... Just like it is not fair to compare Diable 2 to Dungeon Seige, or Morrowind to Wizardry 8... Each game has its own merits and game play issues to contend with...

But in answer to your post title, yes NWN is a great game... It has been designed with many quests, main and side quests, just like the BG series...

Buy it and enjoy it...

NWN isn't good. NWN is evil. Evil will always triumph, because good is dumb.
