Ultimate cheesy way to get xp for those who are desperate. Flesh Gloems in the cave in the lighthouse area. Just keep resting your party and Flesh Golems will spawn pretty consistently. At 2000 xp a pop, you can build up a lot of xp quickly.

That is not a 'loosers' tactics, thats the tactics of a power gamer (some might say that they are loosers too - but this is not the place for that discussion )

I guess that this tread is about tactics that works so bad, that just playing the game normally would have been much more rewarding power playing vice. Like (this is an example, not something I have seen in the game): "I have discovered a citizen in Candlekeep, that you can kill for 3 XP without loosing reputation and getting arrested. All you need to do is kill, save, quit, restart and reload the game for the citizen to respawn. I have exploited this glitch for 3 (real life) days now, where I haven't slept or eaten and I have almost reached level 2"

See - this would have been a looser tactic

Especially since, to use that tactic, you would have to ignore the notorious "Kill Firebead, Take The Illusionary Party's Items, Export, Sell, Repeat" 'tactic'

Heres mine. Start as a thief, or have someone in your group be one (starting from multiplayer), or for ultimate losers, a fighter with nice strength, and right after you start, go inside the candlekeep inn, and onto the second floor. Inside a chest in a room on the right half of this floor (difficult lock) is a Star Saphire. Sell it and then later get the Ring of Wizardry from the Friendly Arm Inn (found it today! YA!) and sell that, by this time you should have over 10,000 gold at the very beginning.
PS: If someone calls a guard on you on the second floor, use hide-in-shadows and walk down the stairs, leaving the Watcher up there, confused and angry at whomever called him away from his post.

The Watchers really aren't the brightest tools in the drawer.
I love saying here, ok, you can have my gold if it'll make up for it, giving them a total of about 4 gold to make up for the theft of a star sapphire, which THEY LET ME KEEP!

Oh! I got one! I just read another thread about Nashkel and I remembered!
Do the Prism quest and don't give the emeralds to the bounty collector. Sell them to the store, then steal 'em from the store, and give them to the guy for a whopping 300 gold.

Or...
In Baldurs gate (when you have tons of money), if you want to steal the pennies in the chests but dont want to lose reputation, wear boots of speed and get out before guards arrive... if you fail reload.

EDIT: Yay, I believe this is my first thread ever to go into 2 pages

Can all see the first post (its from ZFR) in this tread? Have you read it?

Some of the tactics mentioned in some of the latest posts are actually quite 'good' as they give you good value for the time you use (in power player terms).

I do actually use some of those tactics from time to time (Yes - I AM a power player).

Makes me think: Am I a looser?
