I am a BG regular, and have jsut started BG2.It said that BG" chars can be exported to NN, so is NN essentially BG3? Where your characters career can continue, from BG to BG2 to NN?

You can import you characters from BG2, but it's not an BG3. THis is a completely differente story!
But it dont meens that NWN sucks, This is the game I'm looking forward to!!!

Hah, the name and class of your char is the only thing that stays, al the other things such as exp and statts are all reset.

I thought that if you imported a character into Neverwinter Nights they would lose all their magic items etc, but that they would be an unofficial vault character: like a cheat character?

I think it makes sence, nwn has some mayor cheat protections but bg2 has not so it would be real easy to raise your statts in bg to say, 25 and then import in nwn.

So you lose all your exp and items but do you keep your special abilities? I would like it if my fighter could still cast draw upon holy might.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I just don't have to listen.

I'm going with the assumption that NWN's universe will handle magic differently from BG's, because of the stark difference in how the two aspects of Faerun are portrayed. We'll see, but I doubt it.
