Now, now you might scare him into not posting those three more messages. You should have waited for him to get the puple blobby thing, and then become a mighty dragon, that way it is harder for him to escape.

Could this be the time to suggest using large numbers of summons? Some may consider it cheesy, but... The first time I played the battle at the palace, I had to resort to summons, but the next several times I didn't really have much trouble.

Has anyone ever tried parking a cleric or druid behind Lia or Belt and just had them continually casting healing spells?

Hope this is of some use,

Moiraine Sedai

Being a Mage with low HP, Liia is much easier to kill, and if one of the Dukes dies, she's usually the one to go (I'm estimating 90% fatality rate for her). But if you're powergaming, cruel, and you still care about money at this stage of the game, Belt drops cooler stuff if he gets whacked.

Not like his stuff is needed anyway. All your characters should have an at least +1 weapon by this stage in the game

Well, most rings in BG1 don't do anything. Only a few actually do something (ring of wizadry, ring of holiness, etc). Most are just like, a jade ring, angel skin ring, etc. I can think of 2 quests in the game right now that involve the kind of 'useless' rings, but that's pretty much it.
