Blackout of 2003? - Page 2

The only reason that it was kind of serious was in fact because of the heat on the day that the power went out...With no refridgeration(sp?) a lot of food went bad at my house and the restaurant that I work at lost a lot of money because of that. Also, in the area I live in there are a lot of elderly people so they needed constant checking up on for the 14 hours that we did not have power. But otherwise there were no great problems because of the emergency workers like the cops and so forth were out in "full force".

But all in all, it was kind of fun to see the entire city dark and without power, and hopefully if the power people can do their job better a once in a lifetime experience. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
