I have never heard of anyone killing him but I have heard that in ToB and maybe BG1 you can CRTL-Q him and get him into your party which is way more intresting then killing him.

In BG2 Ctrl+Q puts any NPC regardless of type into your party. It's a cheat really. Why would you wanna kill Elminster? The programers had to have dropped in an exclusively high rep killer for such an act. The rewards can't be all that great.

This is insane. You might as well try to kill Gorion before you talk to him in Candlekeep.

Hey - have anyone tried that ??

I tried pickpocketing him with an insanely hacked up theif and still got caught. He said something about teaching me one last lesson right before he blew the crap out of me.

only problem is xen this is bg1!!! On bgt however the xp cap is taken off so it might be possible. My problem is every time i try he just teleports away, cause u know every time u speak 2 him he leaves right after. I suppose a level 26 wizard (or what ever level it is) Is a bit ambitious for a party full of level 7 people!!

insane! insane! thats insane! ;p

I tried killing elminster before he went past me on the lion road thingy, after you get xar(whatever, I can't seem to remember the name) and montaron, but he always escaped... (tried lots of times) but he never gave any response, he always just fled past me..

why does gorion HAVE to die in the beginning anyway?

yeah, does anyone reckon a better plot beginning would be to have s- i mean armourd figure actually KINAPPING gorion, therefore giving you good reason to follow him and hunt him down, just to find out that he killed him right away?
or that (soap opera plot) gorion is ACTUALLY-

a kobold god dressed as a human or
secretly sarevoks twin brother who is actually in league with-
a band of taslois trying to kidnap noober in a dastardly plot to overcome the world by cloning 30,000 ultra annoying noober and unleashing them into the poor unsuspecting sword coast.

maybe?

anyone?
