TotSC - "Tales of the Swordcoast", official Bioware Baldur's Gate addon
BGSoA or SoA - "Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn", sequel to Baldur's Gate
BGT - "Baldur's Gate Trilogy", a TeamBG mod that allows you to play all three parts (Baldur's Gate, Shadows of Amn, Throne of Bhaal) in consecutive order and in the BG2 engine.
bgtutu - a mod tool that converts BG2 to BG1 (both installed required) enabling you to play BG1 with the BG2 graphics

Well if you have TotSC addon you should be able to loot him and contniue on your journeys. ... You can of course loot him if you beat him before his goons and then use his equipment against them.

As I recall the end movie plays when S dies, regardless of whether his goon squad survives. Perhaps you're thinking of a mod?

I was playing TotSC and when Serevok fell it went into movie sequence and there were still one of his goons to fight....oh well, no biggie. i just thought it would be neat to loot his body and see what he had on him.

one of his cohorts carries the same armor so if you kill her you can get the armor. As for the draining sword, I don't know how much use it would be after you beat the game. My guess would be to try and get to the final battle area again to see about looting him.
