Blessings: A guild level 4 Temple skill. You will need a trait (Cabalist), which is a guild level 4 Temple trait. Yes, the skill is REALLY WORTH IT
Enchants: A guild level 4 Mage's Guild skill. You will need a trait (Occultist), which is a guild level 4 Mage's Guild trait. The skill is usefull even if it cannot match the Blessings skill.

juz to give u a rough idea of what the bless & enchant skill does: bless increases the stats of ur WEAPONS, eg. hit, damage, toughness, etc., for ur ARMOUR it increases toughness mainly
enchants makes ur ARMOUR resistant to elements, eg. pro ice, pro sun, etc. note:u need to have the Artifact Spells in order to enchant armour (Artifact of ice, Artifact of fire) no wait.............u need the artifact spells for BOTH blessing n enchanting! whoops.......

And if the value of blessing and enchanting isn't clear enough, let me just say that I've found out (the hard way) that if you're sufficiently protected from the elements (through enchanting), you can indeed call a firestorm (or other storm) down on your own head and live safely through it. Darned quickspells...

One important note about the skills: It's the owner of the skill HIMSELF who must know the Artifact spells. Therefore, do not teach a warrior or a thief Blessings or Enchants - unless you plan changing roles and gaining the necessary spells.
Most recommended Artifact spells: Blessings: Artifact of Fiends, Stone, and Vines Enchants: Artifact of Fire, Ice, and Stone Naturally, other Artifact spells are also useful, for example, Artifact of Spirit for Blessings.

dont underestimate the power of enchantments, my solo lvl 14th samurai (1st time thru) single handly beat Erathsmedor. the rest of my party died right away and my priest/warlock ran out of ressurect spells and mana pots. so erathsmedor only took small damage compared to his total hp. so how did my lvl 14 warrior-samurai beat the great dragon? 100% resistance to fire and alot of heal pots and running away, healing up, then going back to battle. 100% resistance to fire b-cuz I enchanted my armor to the max resistance to fire, which costs a whole lot of money but was worth the 1.8 mill exp i got , went 6 lvl's in fact. Most of eraths' attacks didnt effect me whatsoever, while his melee attacks did, grr i hate when he eats your charc. , had to reload the battle a couple of times. while the rest of my party was either dead or bones. and whenever i cast sun area effect spells, and forget im in melee w/ the creatures, my hero doesnt take any damage. enchantments make your characters invincible, while blessings make them fighting machines.
So what's the lesson to be learned? Learning enchantments and casting them on your party makes them survive battles w/ spellcasters. and get the exp for killing them . it makes your characters live longer. [ 10-02-2002, 09:31 AM: Message edited by: KAR_MOD1 ]
