Iv been through the basilisk area (the one in the wood) a few times before. But this time i noticed something which i though was quite interesting. I killed 1 greater basilisk and 4 lessers when i first went in and i got 7000xp for the greater and 2000(i think) xp for the lesser. Then i allowed korax to join my group (as i always do as he is very useful against basilisks as he is immune to petrification.) So i sent him up front and we killed some Greaters and Lessers but i noticed something; i only got 4000xp for the greater and 1400 for the lessers. Strange i thought. I can only presume that this is because i let Korax come with me which gives me an advantage. Has anyone else noticed this?

Hmm... That's interesting, never noticed that before. You've made certain that you don't have the difficulty set below core?

Then my hypothesis would be that Korax gets his grubby undead mits on some of the exp. one way or another. Afterall he did help out.

The basillisks would be one of the next steps in my current game. I'll try to conquer them without the use of my undead pal.

Personally, I just think Korax rocks. He's even got more personality than some of the genuine recruitable NPCs, such as Dynaheir. Maybe someone'll make a MOD to include him in BG2.....
