Hmm, I save the game right after killing the lava hound. I see the ore pile , and I use the pickaxe to pick at the ore but all it tells me after a sudden noise is that the ore pole isn't doing anything. Could it be that I have a broken pickaxe, or maybe I'm picking at the wrong ore pile. I did manage to collect a yellow stone, Which I tool to the king and all he said was "thank you,I will keep this to remember you by." Does the dragon ore say dragon ore when you find it?

Look around - there are more "piles" down there to use that pickaxe upon.
If you have the spell SPIRIT EYE - cast it. That may help you spot the other piles and find the Dragon Ore. A pile is only good once so don't waste your time using the pickaxe on it over and over. Good Luck! Wyv |

IIRC, dragon ore says "silvery metal" when you find it. Everything else is a gem.
You can find dragon ore way down in the depths of the mines, in places where you'll be glad you learned that Lavawalk spell. What's that? Didn't learn it yet? Well, I'd place it mighty high on my priority list, I would, and I'd try to raise a level real soon...
