well i started to play lands of lore ..throne of choas..well i got caught to RBGand then in the following time i played some like might and magic daggerfall and stuff like that..i never played online rbg..then i quitted the army and started to work at a cybercafe and a lot of peeps ther were playing UO but it didnt caught me at all...but suddenly i went on as beta tester for Everquest and i have played that game now 2.5 year and i love it but sometimes eq is down due to patch and then i offline RBG and thats why im playing W&W....

Very Cool - Lands of Lore was a great game. Did you ever play Eye of the Beholder or The Bards Tale way back many years - both were great for the time period.

Hehe, I just got rid of my EQ account after about 2 years. I also played UO for about 2 1/2 years. I like those games a lot. The whole online gaming experience is so different, it has a lot of unique qualities, but unfortunately it also fades over time. At first, everyone is at the same level, so their tends to be more reliance on one another and a bit more roleplay. Eventually though, there are the newbie characters and high levels, and then it transitions into most every newbie is really a high level making a new character and trying to pass themselves off as a newbie. Roleplay gets all but abandoned except in the most remote of areas (Or the Fironia Vie server is that works out). I think a game like neverwinter nights has potential to be great, where like the old days of D&D, you can get a group together and play at certain times, but then if you want to play at an off time...

I don't know, I guess I've played most every RPG waiting for it to immerse me in a fantasy world I can believe and run to when R/L gets to be too much, but they all start to fade or get boring. Not much can compete to the basic immersion and excitement of Wizardry and such, but they end too soon
