I have been reading through the posts and reseting adventures is refered to quite often.

I have two questions:
1) How is this done??
2) Can this be done with charaters that have already been through most of the game?

All you have to do to reset the adventure is go go in town, click on the little computer icon at the bottom left of your screen and then click on RESET Game (or adventure) middle right of the screen.

Your character will then be zapped back to Valeia with all his equipment EXCEPT equipement gathered on quests or needed for advancement (signet, Mavin Sword, tomes required to become Zenmaster).

Oops, I implicitely answered your second question in my first answer so now I'll explicitely answer it: yes, you can Reset the game from anypoint up to the end.

I think, but not absolutely sure, but I believe you do keep the Tomes. Again not sure, I'd have to check that out. I could be wrong.

I tried that but all that happened is the old guy from the start appeared in front of me in Ishaad N'Ha gave his speil and then dissapeared. None of the quest stuff was reset.

Here is a question for you
If I ever get this reset will my characters retain their guild level status?

Thanx
Vlad

No, you'll loose them.

The plus side is that you'll also "forget" any previous roles but your last one.

About the Tomes: I was never able to keep them after reseting.

Here's what I did, I played through the first part up until serpent temple, did a few advancements for some of the characters then started over. The only failure is that the characters never advanced far enough to get skills in bless and such. If you're planing to reset, I sugest also planing on new role at reset to allow for advancement of characters the Exp at start really sucks for 10+ level characters.

(I reset because I fudged up some quests up and tried to kill M. the Toad when a group of "savage toad warriors" attacted and I tried to kill every toad there.)

You will keep the current role you have. So if you are a ninja you will still be a ninja. The first time I reset my game I kept all of my gold so I would assume you will also. I have not reset since I got the tomes for Zenmaster though, so I do not know if you will keep those. I did lose the signet ring and a few other items though. The ones necessary to complete quests. However, you do keep the elixer that helps agains the Medusa.
