DSotSC = Dark Side of the Sword Coast, a mod developed for BG/TotSC that adds a bunch of stuff, and iirc, makes some things already in the game a little tougher. You can read about it at the DSotSC site here: http://www.dsotsc.com

I would be very wary, though. There are some VERY unbalancing items available early to anyone with a bundle of cash, and especially if you're a paladin, the game becomes worse than a cakewalk. IIRC there is a ToB-level bow, plus 5 and creates Arrows of Piercing. Who on earth thinks that belongs in a game where there is ONE +5 weapon, and you have to kill a veritable god to get it. The makers of DSotSC, apparently.

Though I thought the highest you could get was a +3 weapon in general, and some specialized +3s/+4s.

Hint => You would have to go out of your way to get the +5 weapon, and it's not something that good parties would normally partake in. There is, AFAIK, no +4 weapon in BG.

Yeah, but isn't the "+5" weapon incorrectly listed, because it has the properties of a +3 weapon with a seperate +2 bonus not pertaining to the weapon rolls, effectively making it a +3 weapon?

Yes, but I believe it is still counted as a +5 to hit, and is actually correctly named for AD&D purposes.

Does anyone know where to find an item and monster list for DSotSC?
