is there an easy way to export my npcs character files so i can load them in to a multiplayer game? ive been sifting through the forums but cant find any info...

You can't find anything about it, because it's impossible. NPC's are other kinds of characters then the PC exports: they have dialogues and all that, so that's why they can't be ex-/imported. Sorry.

The nearest thing you could do perhaps is to make a note of your favorite NPC's stats, attributes, whatever, and then use an editor like GateKeeper to 'create' your own version of that character from an exported one.

I don't know if you could copy the NPC's sound files from the game too though...

Well, you can use the soundsets, but only to a certain extent: the characters won't get angry at eachother or anything. They'll just say a bit more then when you use the normal soundsets.

PS: I always use the Xzar soundset for my Illusionist: some great quotes!

You can download them at the Adventurer's Guild:

Look in "The Chest", you'll find loads of downloads there, including the NPC soundsets.
