Thanks for the 'step by step' instructions Vedran, I will probably give it a try on my next campaign/party creation.

I more or less wanted to try out some wild party like, 4-6 Gnomes, all as Specialist mages.

Or a party consisting of 4-6 Haflings, all as theives.

Or a party of 4-6 miscelaneous races and classes, but all having the same alignment, say... Chaotic-Evil!

However without the scripted dialogue, I suppose the game would get a bit boring after awhile, but still, it would be fun to try it for kicks.

Wait. I'm confused now. Is this the BG1 or BG2 thread? Cuz romances do not even enter the picture til SOA. Please keep our posts forum relevant or put a decent BG2/SOA-Spoiler tag on the post.
We really ought to calm down here, I mean maybe Halbarad1891 FIRST experienced BG2, then only recently started playing BG1 and didn't realize that there are not any romances (per se) in BG1, except for maybe.......

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm often wrong ) but isn't there a fella named Feldorn within the Cloakwood forest who tries to join your party so that he and his lover named Skie can reunite for time and all eternity?

Anyways, that's the only 'romance' that I can think of within BG1.

Actually, Faldorn is the shadow druid that can join your party in Cloakwood, but is not the one you are thinking of. Eldoth is the evil bard in Cloakwood that will want you to get Skie.

Damnit!

I was wrong.... again!

Eldoth was the dude that I was thinking of.

But wait a minute Nerull, I obviously remember the NAME Faldorn, but isn't he that anger Druid?

I mean, he can't join the party... can he?

Where is he located? I thought he was the druid by that cabin?

Oh well, it's not that important after all.

Faldorn is a female joinable NPC. (She's the one who sports the hideous Xzar-like female pic.) She's at AR1600 (third Cloakwood map) somewhere around x=648, y=2883.

No, I knew there weren't romances in BG1. But if you read Elmysterio's first post, s/he's asking if it's possible to play Imoen through BG1 as a pure thief, then send her to BG2 and keep her as a pure thief. I was merely brainstorming ideas on how to accomplish this. My idea was to use the multiplayer to create a new Imoen and use her instead, but I wasn't sure if she had a romance because this would mess up any dialog she has.
So from my pov, this was a BG1/BG2 thread from the start.

Sorry about not posting that it was a spoiler. My bad.

Well thanks for clearing that up for me Lemmy.

I may go and pick her up for a while on my next party/campaign and see what she's worth.

Not much. She's a pure-class druid. With her stats (unbuffed), she's in best shape to act as a ranged attacker/caster. In all honesty, I'm not sure how useful a pure-caster druid is compared to a pure-caster cleric (like Viconia). But I *do* know a pure-caster cleric is nothing to mess around with. Yeslick, Branwen, Viccy, and myself (cleric PC) held off 10 soliders who had the misfortune of awakening us during our slumber in Cloakwood mines. Not a one of us took a lick.

Instead, might I recommend Tiax? For one, his special abiltiy beats the pants off Faldorn's. For two, Thief/Clerics are an unusual class. You'll have fun figuring out their nooks and crannies. The single biggest problem is getting to Tiax before the game pre-distributes his thief skills and turns him into a jack-of-all-trades. Tiax simply doesn't have the leveling capacity to master everything. He needs to specialize. So, if you don't want to rush (and don't mind "cheating"), you could CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("Tiax") while he's still 2/2 and his thief skills are salvagable.

Well thanks for the heads up on her.

And what kind of name is Faldorn for a female? Ahh nevermind.

If I were to use her I would probably wait until I wanted to created a party of weaklings!

No I'm serious, it would be kind of fun to play through the game with say... a wimpy hafling or gnome fighter (max of 3 rerolls on stats), Xan - Mr. Doom & Gloom himself, maybe even Monteron, ohh and Garrick of course, then I would swing over along the coastline and pick up that sexy Harlet/thief named Savana?, or Sabrina?, (name starts w/ an "S"), then last but not least, I would pick up Faldorn.

Other than the Imaginary NPCs of CandleKeep, who can you think of that would make the above party, even MORE of a 'Motley Crew of Weaklings'?

Yeh, Tiax is someone that I'v always wanted to try, but like you said, by the time you get to him the game has already allocated his stat points for you, or most of them anyways.

During my last party I picked up Quayle late in the game because I wanted an, 'all mage party', or atleast as close to such a party as possible.

Quayle is my favorite NPC, because he has such a plethora of both mage and cleric spells, plus he's funnier than all heck!

"Who taught these Chimps to talk? Sheesh.... what they can't do these days?!"
