Hello everyone!
Ive been playing wizards and warriors for awhile now, and i just restarted the game, because the first time the game crashed while i was playing and it messed it up and i had to reinstall. I was soooo close to the end too

Anyways right now in the game i just finished the serpent temple and got the mask and im ready to head to town and then goto the castle. My question: How and when do I get bless for my charactors? I want to bless some items but it wont work. Ive read some about this but its confusing! I also want to know why toughen wont raise my HP perminently when i go into town. I remember awhile back someone told me to go outside, cast toughen on my characters and go back in town and then the HP will stay perminent. Now when i try it wont work...Am i thinking of a different game??? I could of sworn my HP was raised by the spell!

Welcome to the board, thedesipher!!

The Toughen Spell can raise your hit points permanently (I've done it for my son). His game runs without the patch. Are you using the patch? Maybe that would account for it not working for you? Do you cast the spell and then save before entering town?

Hey,

I am running the patch. I save, cast toughen, enter town. When i enter town my HP is back to normal.. I tried it before without the patch and it didnt work, then i DID get the patch and it still didnt work.

Hi,

If you want to bless items you must have the occultist trait from the temple, and to enchant the cabbalist traint from wizards' guild or is it the other way around). Also must be level 4 or 5 in the respective guild. Then you can train your blessing/enchanting skill to a descent level and start blessing/enchanting your items, also you MUST have the artifact spell of the group you want to use. Artifact of Vines, Stone, e.t.c. Also keep in mind that blessings become more expensive so if you don't use a special gold scheme (merchant trait, inns, fletchery & merchant) it will become difficult to add special powers to your armors and weapons. Do I make any sense?

desipher - I have no idea why the toughen thing isn't working for you - worked fine when I did it for my son. Are you saving your game before you enter the town? Perhaps that would make a difference.

Not sure I understand what you mean by "order". FOr my son, I just cast it on his characters just before they enter the town. WOrks for him.

i've used this a couple of times for my characters... it's saved my ass a couple of times. i left town, cast toughen on my characters then reentered town. it works every time. i haven't tried it with the patch however...

The Toughen trick doesn't work with the Patch, trust me, I know. I'd recommend getting both Bless and Enchant skills shortly after doing the Serpent Temple over (but before you've gone far enough west to see you're first Mantraps). Don't actually use it until you've reached the third Sea Port Town. The reasoning for this is quite simply that at this point you should have next to no money troubles (exept for two or three times), and that whilst on your way there you can increase the skill when you go up to new levels (training included). This is the way that I treated both skills and it worked for me (without using any money cheats or anything like that).
