Is there anyway to remove curses without spending a fortune. I am early in the game. Also does money become a little more abundant?

Thanks in advance

Yep..reload a save game before you equipped the item!

Unfortunately, there is no "cheap" way of unequipping cursed items without a costly trip to the Temple. Oh for the "Remove Curse" spell of Wizardry!

Staves and daggers are primarily the most cursed weapons you find early on in the game, so make sure you save before equipping, then reload if you find it's cursed.

Sazerac, you have to remember Minion's Curse too! Anyway, the simple Inn trick will get you some quick money to get rid of the cursed item. The "Skull Dagger" and practically any staff can be cursed. Save before you equip any of these.

FanPyre, could you tell an items cursed just by looking at it? I think D. W. Bradley wanted to make this game fun at the same time complicated.

I admit its a minor personal gripe, but i had some problem removing a cursed item from my oompah wizard and had to redo a dungeon to correct the problem so im biased.

Well, a curse isn't that bad. Either you get a few hitpoints taken away every few minutes, or you have a lowered chance at completing anything (opening chests, hitting an enemy, ect.).

well there are also spells cast on you that curse you , i was an unlucky victim of a "wasting poison curse" it would take my max hp down every 15 seconds or so , i lost 10 max hp on my rogue permanently even after i got the curse removed damn hitpoints suck in this game

I think I have a vague idea about that!
My wizard (warlock) had some strange (painful) experiences with two or three of the staffs(Staff Of Wails, Summoning, and some others). As also my rogue (assassin) with her weapons' choices! (Talos Fang, Skull Dagger). Also I enjoyed the Ring Of Torture, (I found a million of these), the Gauntlets of Horror, the Braces of Blood, and the list goes on (Curse the Cursed items)! )

I found that later in the game that your characters have a high enough regeneration ability most cursed items are a plus not a negative. My rogue/assassin/ninja/zenmaster, carries Talon,s Fang with no ill effect.the priest/paladin uses the Devils Axe ( i think that's the name ) while it's cursed I haven't found any negatives except you can't remove it without going to temple and it blessed nicely. And earlier my wizard/warlock used the Hagerty Staff quite effectivly on those spell resistant foes.Any one know who Hagerty is?
