Ok i cant believe it i finally finished baldurs gate. it was an amazing adventure and incredible i thank everyone on this forum especially sixofspades he was a great help and if anyone ever needs help just send me a PM.

ill be checking in alot here still and now its time to move to the BG2 forum (woopee)

Four things:

1st: excellent and good for you!!

2nd: Befor you buy BG2 i highly recomend the great Watrdeep expansion t shold get you a "bit" prepared for BG2

3rd: I alays play the games i beat over agin to do stuff i missed and so on you will really be surprised at what you have missed i know i was and it also does not loss intrest either

4th: BG2 is incredible and the beggining will give you a big surprise!!

Yes Taran "sob" congratulations. I still remember my own passing onto BGII. Almost spiritual isn't it? Anyways jumping on the spirits of things i also want to thank this forum for all its help and to a greater extent the webmaster who runs it all.

Thankyou even though i have had both BG1 and BG2 for some time and i have begun, i have begun a game before on BG2 and yes the beginning is quite a bang

But quite sad that i could not import my character into BG2 i did the import option and no games came up . quite a tragedy but i started a new character that is exactly the same but ij made my him an archer and boy is he coooooool

if you have any import tips please help!

It could be that you did not copy and paste the character/save game file from the BG1 folder into the BG2 folder.

Copy/paste or just move the file.

Anyway, I'm glad I could offer advice and answer when you needed one and that you're ready to take BG2 on. I hope I'll be seeing you more on SoA forum.

If I were you, I wouldn't bother. Especially if you made exactly same char. If you, however, want to continue with the char from BG1, open the characters folder in your BG1 folder and find the file called charname.chr. Then move (or copy) it to characters folder in BG2 folder. Start the game and they should be there.
