I killed Harespia and her housefull too, but I did restore my game. It seemed too big and important an area for killing her. Now WHAT quest item? I know there's something in there but I can't find anything!!

If I remember correctly, you trade the serpent wand for her orb. I forget who sends you on the quest for the orb though. I believe the wizard guild. Once you finish the serpent temple, you don't need the wand anymore, so it's OK to part with it.

The Orb is a quest item for the Mage Guild in the first town.

Thanks guys! That wasn't even what I was thinking of, but that's cool--I've learned something new. My husband found a treasure chest in there, but he can't remember what he did to get into the area. I think I know where it is--when I use Spirit Eye, there are more white dots under the stairs than two barrels can account for, so there must be something under there. Has anyone gotten into that?
Thanks for the hint about the orb. I killed her and picked it up already, but she didn't fight back so I thought I had made a mistake. Good to know I got it right. |

When you give Harespia the Serpent Wand (make sure you do the Spirit Summoning first!) she opens the treasure area in the basement for you.

You'll get the Magic Shop quest after killing that serpent priest on the way to IN.
You can steal the wand back from Harespia, if you want to do this quest before summoning the naga, for which the wand is essential. |
