Need Help

Hi, I'm a total internet virgin so please bear with me as I've never talked on the net before.
I can't seem to get by the toad in the Toad Village. I've tried all the suggestions posted on this site - jumping, using a pixie to slide by, even casting vanish doesn't work - not on land or by sea. (only air left)
Do I need to complete this quest or can I just forget it and go on. I've already finished Shurugeon Castle and the Snake Temple and the mines. Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks. By the way, this game really is fun isn't it?

If it doesn't make the other toads angry, you can kill it.
(I am assuming this is the one stuck in the water)
If it does make the other toads mad enough to attack you and keeps you from being able to talk to Shinwiki, then just come back at a higher level and keep trying.
Eventually the other toads put the importance of getting their toadem back ahead of the life of that one mere toad.

The quest is not required to finish the game though so the choice is yours.

Infuriating arnt they!! Try talking to the toad, does not matter what you say, then go back down the tunnel and he will follow you, may take a few trys but if you give him enough room near the ladder or the side tunnel, you can get around him.
