Concerning time in the game, is there any way to speed it up or any such? The nights in W&W reminds me horribly of nighttime in Everquest, and even with Illuminate I'm almost blind. I'd much rather go around in the daytime.

About Erasthmedor. I went near the northern mountains to give an item to a samurai who hangs around near there, and saw the dragon flying around. I managed to dodge him without catching his attention the first time, but the second time he started chasing me. Am I guessing right when I say it would be bad to try and kill him before a certain part in the game?

Only two suggestions I know:

1) Go exploring dungeons during the nighttime. It seems to make it pass faster, and the dungeons are better lit.

2) Use the "P" key to pause the game for about 5-10 minutes real time (go to bathroom, get a cup of coffee). Time keeps running in the game.

However, part of the fun is exploring at night, too...and you get better monsters and sometimes better loot, IMO.

Hey, I actually have a good one. I don't roaming the dark either, but here is a good hint to get where you want to go. If you have a Priest or Paladin cast (darn, how am I supposed to tell you if I can't remember.. the spell that lets you see everything on the map). Then put your map on for one of your characters, and follow that. Do not look at the main screen, just the map. If you encounter anything, you'll see it on the map first, and well, you won't jump out of your boots if it pops out of nowhere. I do this a lot, but I just keep away from nighttime. If it doesn't want to wait for me by the daytime, then it ain't worth waitin for.

You are right about Erathsmador and don't be suprised when he blows flames at you at the most inopportune moments until you talk to him later.

Hrmm.. my paladin is currently on that two day quest thing to become a monk. Sazerac, would it be possible to use that pause method to just pass away the two days?

Yeah, you CAN just pause the game for two whole days. Or you can wander around and kill stuff. Just make sure you don't go back into any town, because the clock resets.

Does anyone know how long it takes to win the game (on average)? Did anyone count the days? I mean in game-time, of course. As far as I can tell, none of my characters have "aged" any in their character description screen ("Male human, 19 years old", etc), so I assume it hasn't taken a year, but what? A month? Six months? Hmmm...
