Did anyone else enter the catacombs for the first time, meet Elminster, and then, after he has led u into an ambush think "I should have just shoved the wardens staff right up his @#^%"? Well, that's how i'm feeling. any help would be nice. and i mean ANY help!

Do you mean that you're having trouble with the fight itself?
As for being fooled, that's OK. Me, I never believed it was them in the first place. Seeing your foster father get bisected through the midsection, and looting his corpse the next morning, tends to set certain facts rather firmly in one's mind.

yes, this is true. what really got me was the Koveras thing. I've decided that my character will forever be a cynic, devoid of all trust and optimism. Hmm, maybe i should go get garrick, that might put these forces in balance. Anyways, the truly annoying thing was what way to go, and which "people" to believe. i think u do meet some real people down there. The dwarf guy was, wasn't he? Arkanis, or something like that.

I never believed them either. I found it just a tad coincidental. How cool would it have been if they were actually real? I would've loved that!
