Getting Credit for Toad Quests??

Has anyone else had problems with getting credit for the toad quests? I gave the magic elixir to Mekdawa for the priest guild quest and I also went to the village, spoke with the shaman and went thru the trap door. Killed the evil and touched the totem with all characters. I got the +5 hp, but when I go back and talk to the shaman, he tells me to kill the evil still??? I also tried to go back to the temple, but they tell me I have to still give the potion to Mekdawa, even though I already did that. ( I even killed him to make sure he had it)
Any suggestions?
If I have to restart is there any way I can transfer my gold and equipment to a new group and restart the quests?

Others have experienced the same problems. I don't know if anyone ever came up with a solution.

You can restart the game with your current group, or with a new group by (on the OPTIONS PAGE) clicking on RESET QUESTS.
To transfer equipment and gold, just create more characters and exchange the goodies in the inn. Unless you are just unhappy with the characters you first created, restarting with the same group has the advantage of them not only retaining their equipment and gold, but their experience as well!
