If you loved Might and Magic, you will love this game. Better graphics (MM is not hard to beat on graphics) and better character development. The interface is not as easy to use as MM.

Baldur's Gate, BGII, and Torment were all very interesting games, but my first CRPG love was Might and Magic VI and its 3-D, flying, and first person view, etc. W&W is similar to MM in terms of the fp view, but there is no fly spell, the outdoor environments are repetitive, and the interface is clunky. Plus, the illuminate spell is not as good as torchlight at Master or Grandmaster level(depending on which MM game you played). But the forums available to W&W are the best of any game I have played, especially this one, and this tends to somewhat make up for the game's glitches.
W&W is fun and is certainly worth playing, but personally I am salivating over the prospect of playing Might and Magic IX. Occasionally, when I have month or six to spare, I go back and play MM6 for a while. |

Bah, the last message posted before I was done.
So I would therefore give this game a 6 or 7 overall. |

I would tend to agree with Sazerac with one more additive, HUMOUR!
I would add an 8 out of 10 for humour ( especially the boogers, LMAO ) Overall, 7 out of 10 because of ending. |

I am giving W&W 4 on the scale 1-10 mostly because of the implementation. Game crashes, painful dialogues, too many bugs, bad usability of maps, AAAAAA! BUM! as a normal method of movement, unbalanced promotion quests (compare the easiness of the priest promotions to, for example, the wizard promotions), inability to rest and the day-night cycle or the problems with picking up items to name a few. If it weren't for all this, the game would be well playable. Nothing extraordinary but well playable.
I do not think M&M can be compared with W&W. I daresay I became an expert in MM7 and I am convinced that MM7 is ways better than W&W. |
