I just went through the gateway and am wondering about the pillars you pick up. are there supposed to be 5? or is there only 4?

There is another pillar inside the Yuan-Ti compound. Look for a room with undead.

If you're in the jungle area which you access from Kuldahar you must fill slots around the entrance to the Yuan-Ti compound to bring the guardian forth. Prepare yourself!! There are some inside the compound and a couple in the surrounding jungle.
