Have any of you had this trouble?

Here I was, merrily beginning chapter 3, when my chaotic good ranger started attacking my Paladin of Mystra. Now, I'd probably attack her, too, but this was completely unprovoked! I've tried everything from 'Restoration' to 'Remove Curse" altho there is no indication she's under any sort of domination. Even after resting, she'll just walk up to the Pally and whomp on her with Fang. And Fang puts the hurt on a body!

If it weren't so irritating, it'd be hilarious! Please tell me one of you knows what to do to save the poor Paladin from her fellow party member......

Tell the pally to stop poking the ranger with his "Holy avenger"????

honestly have NEVER seen that happen. Are you sure its not a domination or confusion?

Wait, check out the items that the ranger is using! If its happening after a combat, it MIGHT be that your ranger is suffering from a berserk rage brought about by the use of an item.

They're both of the female persuasion, Micah......

Nope, Ranger has Fang and Paladin has (something...the name escapes me), same weapons they've used for *several* battles now. No berserker rage, no charm or domination. I did outfit Wroth to see the benefits, but never used it in battle (indeed, more damage potential done with trusty Fang even counting str and con+!) and twice 'cleansed' the poor gal of any lingering evil influences. But it started long after that. And the ranger seems to target only the Paladin. Like I said, if it weren't so irritating having to referee, it would be uproaring good fun!

haaaaa! That explain the problem!

From my experience, it's better not to interfere.

Yikes,

I am staying out of this one - discretion is the better part of valor!

Ok, guys, that's enough of the male stuff . The entire party is female---and I certainly wouldn't want to go against them in battle!!!

SomeGuy, no, she's not been under any sort of confusion, domination, etc., spell which is what makes it so perplexing. Just to play it safe, I had a cleric and a healer cast 'restoration'- and remove curse-type spells on her....but it just seems to make her more determined to get the Pally. It's not an alignment problem...it's not a racial thing. The Pally is Aasimar, the ranger a half-elf, both of good alignment. Maybe it's just a personal problem . Maybe the Holier-than-thou finally made the ranger snap.

(She rubs me the wrong way as well. I like the ranger a great deal better. I mean, Paladins have their usefulness, but give me a competent ranger any day)

Since we've ruled out item effects, spells effects such as charm or domination, and alignment apparently isn't an issue, I can not for the life of me think of anything that could be causing it. Sounds like a game glitch to me.

I think I heard something about script problems a long time ago. Did you install the official patch?

You could also give them some new shoes, they'll forget about killing each other.
