What is this heart of fury mod? What does it do? Does it make gameplaying more fun or something?

Kinda... It kind of like S&M. You turn on HoF mode then suddenly all the enemies in the game are 15HD creatures with +30 to hit etc. Its designed to take a party thats level 15+ to around 27-30 by the end of the game since you will only reach 15 or so the first time through... Its just like Regular mode except its much harder and the weapons and Items are better.

Yeah, it can be a shock the first time if you're not prepared for gobbies with 100+ hitpoints and an insane to-hit bonus. Not to mention the damage they do, minimum of 10 points from the fighter types. HOF is not something to approahc lightly.
