I thought that too, but Jaheira managed to get into a fight with one shortly afterwards (and it was a genuine flaming fist bloke, not the mercenaries that inhabit the headquarters). Unfortunately i wasn't really concentrating on the game when the fight broke out so I don't know who started it! Could it be a bug?

Rothorn, were you doing a quest with Nalen Darkwalk? There's a good chance to turn a Flaming Fist hostile in that quest. (It's OK, as long as you don't actually kill him.)

Why doesn't the Fist employ females in its ranks? Masochist pigs. On a similar note, I've gotta wonder why the Thieves Guild doesn't include a single Elf or Halfling.

I assume that they don't employ females because in reality a police force in that time probably would be mostly male, so in other words it's for realism.

They probably don't have any elves or halflings since almost every person in the city is a human.

It's mysogynist, not masochist. A masochist is someone who enjoys pain. Mysogynists are woman haters.

As for the lack of halflings in the thieves guild... That just makes no sense. Who would be more profitable than someone who's naturally sneaky, and appears to be little more than a child at first glance?

Yes, Naleen had approached me when I was tarnsported to the theives guild. I went along with his suggestion to keep him friendly but I have no intention of following it through. I was nowhere near the tavern he wanted to meet at though when we were attacked by the FF (honest guv!!).

Rothrorn, where exactly did this fight take place? Was there a conversation involved (did he try to arrest you), or did he see you perform some illegal action (such as hitting a Commoner or stealing something)?
