Apologies in advance for the inane question, I'm just bored at the moment (sadly I don't have BG installed at work!). I was just wondering what the fastest times (game time, not real time) are that people have managed to complete BG1 (with or without ToSC) but without cheating. I doubt that I'm a candidate since I'm on day 115 and chapter 7 (no ToSC). Any offers?

I beat BG in 47 game days and another 25 days for totsc. Third time through, the first time it took me 138 days to beat bg.

I'm currently on a mission to see how fast I can burn through Baldur's Gate. I imported my main character, assembled my party as I went along, and killed the bad guys with the good drops for gear and whatnot. It's day 23 and I just entered BG. I hope to be done with the game within the next 4 days.

Hmmm..using an imported character might be considered to be cheating since he/she could be high level at the start and therefore make the game rather easy.

Well I have been through BG1 only once because it took me three months in real time. Daunting. In game time, I think it was about 110 hours.

Do you mean 110 days? 110 hours would be less than five (24 hour) days, which would be all but impossible.

Nah... Not impossible. Boots of speed, good magic armor, and a tank will do the trick.

He must mean 110 days - 5 days is impossible - travelling times between regions alone would exceed that time by a wide margin (f.x. to and from the Cloakwood Mine)
